Email support@qlubapp.com for anything at all — a bug, a listing that’s wrong, a safety concern, a privacy request, or a question about your account. Telling us what it’s about in the subject line gets it to the right person faster.
Common questions
Is Qlub free?
Yes. All the main features are free and there are no ads — the whole map, every event, group and guide, and every privacy control. We count on supporters to keep Qlub running.
Do I need an account to look around?
No. You can browse the map, the directory and the guides without signing up. You only need an account to RSVP, join a group, message someone or post something yourself.
What’s the difference between an event and a hangout?
An event is planned — a date, a time, a venue, sometimes tickets. A hangout is spontaneous — a time, a meeting point and a headcount, usually today.
Can I add an event or group I found somewhere else?
Yes. In Add to Qlub, choose Event and paste the link, or tap Share → Qlub on the page in Partiful, Eventbrite, Meetup or your browser. Qlub reads the page and fills in the name, date, time, place and photo; you check it and post. If it isn’t your event, post it as “just sharing” and it shows the real organizer. If it’s already on Qlub, we show you the existing event instead of a duplicate. Run a group on Meetup or your own website? Choose Group and copy it over: name, description, photo and interests. Only the person who runs a group may copy it.
Someone shared my event. Can I manage it?
Yes. Open the event and tap “Are you the organizer?” to take it over and manage it yourself.
Is Qlub a dating app?
No. There are plenty of those. Qlub is for the rest of it: the places, the events, the groups and the resources our community shares with each other.
How old do I have to be?
Qlub is 18+. You’re asked to confirm your age before you can browse.
Why can’t I see older messages on a new phone?
Direct messages are encrypted for the specific devices you had when they were sent, and the keys never leave those devices — so a phone you add later reads everything from that point on, but not what came before. Nobody can restore it, including us. Group, event and hangout chats aren’t encrypted, so those stay readable everywhere.
I own an LGBTQ+ venue. How do I claim it?
Search for your place in the app and tap Claim, or use the business portal on a desktop. Confirm a code sent to an email address on your venue’s domain and you’re verified instantly. If you don’t have one, tell us why — you still get to manage the page while we review it. It’s free.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: open the account menu, tap Delete account, and confirm. If you no longer have the app installed, the delete-account page explains how to request it by email.
Which cities are live?
The directory covers the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and the travel, Pride and health guides work wherever you are. Events, groups and hangouts are opening city by city, starting with Los Angeles.
Reporting something
You can report any listing, event, post, photo or profile from inside the app, on the page you’re already looking at. Reports are reviewed by a person. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
